School History

 

Jesus S. Cabarrus Elementary School is a non-central school located in the compound of Solid Cement Corporation, formerly Island Cement, Sitio tagbac, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, with an approximate distance of 8 kilometers away from the city proper.

 

This school was established in 1977 with a total land area of 4, 199 sq. meters acquired thru a Deed of Donation of the plant owner of Island Cement Corporation. Mr. Jesus S. Cabarrus, where the name of the school was taken from.

 

The school was managed and supervised by a principal in the person of Mrs. mary jane G. Halili with fifty-two (52) nationally funded teachers who are committed in giving quality education to the pupils and only one (1) Volunteer Teacher teaching kindergarten classes, and two (2) Utility Workers, two (2) OPSS Guard and one (1) personal security guard funded in MOOE. The school is composed of thirty-seven (37) rooms, thirty-two (32) rooms were used for academic purposes and only five (5) rooms were used as non-academic purposes like library, two (2) feeding area, ICT room and principal office.

 

At present the has a total enrolment of 2456 pupils, 1276 of whuch are boys and 1180 girls. The school is still employing a two shifting scheme to address the need for the lack of classroom. Likewise, in order to deliver quality education the school also deliver special programs which is ALS A & E Classes.
